"Jesus said, "let the little children come to me, and do
not hinder them; for the
kingdom of heaven belongs
to such as these."

Kids' Quest
|
Our Children's
Ministry is called Kids' Quest. In the various areas of this ministry,
a "journey" or "quest" is experienced through relationships -- the
relationship with God and with others. These relational principles are
communicated and experienced in Kids' Quest through stories. Read on to
experience one of these stories.

Is it hot, or is it just me?!
I feel like I've been schlepping around in the desert for years, now.
Wait a minute...that's what I have been doing!!!
Moving is such a hassle! Especially as a nomad!
You've gotta set up, tear down, set up, tear down, make sure all the animals are accounted for....
I'm thinkin' at 80 years old, I'm getting too old for this.
It's time to settle down in one place, isn't it Jehovah?
And to have no kids to help me....Oy, I do wish I had a son who could learn the family business.
I don't even know where we're going.
But then, the good thing about never knowing exactly you are going is you'll never get lost!
Heh! Heh!
And sandstorms? There is sand in everything and everywhere!
Every nook and cranny, crack and crevice.
Wait a minute! Is that a mirage over there?
It's not behaving like a mirage.
That's no mirage, that's a tribe of really short, strangely dressed goyim!
I wonder if they're nomads like us?maybe they're on a journey too! Yeah!
Shalom!
Why... you're not people...you're children!
Where did you come from?
Oy, vey! Tex -- huh?
Is it close to Bethel?
What do you mean, you're just following me?
You say you want to come with me, Abraham, on my journey?
What a lot of khutspe you have!
I don't even know where I'm going to end up, but I'm trusting God will show me my destination.
You're welcome to come along!
L'Chaim!

And, so,
as happens each week, the children in Kids' Quest follow a Bible
character through their journey, so they can learn about their own
purpose and destiny.
|
| Every quest has a starting point and a destination... |
Along the
way, you encounter situations and people. Some are anticipated and some
are serendipitous. Sometimes, unexpected treasures are discovered.
These treasures can take various forms; whether relational,
experiential, or spiritual. These all propel us toward the quests
ultimate destination.
These future apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are
learning to walk in their purpose and destiny. The power of God's
Spirit is coursing through Kids' Quest to reveal and activate the
spiritual gifts each child holds within. Their present journey involves
the use of their spiritual gifts as a way of life in their homes,
schools, and neighborhoods.
We invite you and your child to join the Quest of pursuing God's purpose and destiny for His Church and His people. |
